WEEKDAYS

News and Weather - from UCB Europe
Flame FM is grateful to our UCB friends www.ucb.co.uk for allowing us to bring their national and Christian news programme on the hour, four times a day.

Contemporary Christian Music
Overnight our computers bring you Christian music, for encouragement through the night. Interspersed with the music is teaching from GBS Radio and repeat programmes from our daytime schedule. Some of our music is formed into complete 60-minute programmes. If you like what you are listening to then phone our office when we are open and we will tell you - honestly, we do know what we are broadcasting and we try it first!

Road to Redemption - Bryan Duncan
US Artist Bryan Duncan started his career in Contemporary Christian Music in 1973 has had many #1 hits over the years. Brian's aim in bringing "Road to Redemption" shows to the airwaves is to "Restore our sanity in an insane and fallen world because, no matter what else you believe, mistakes still happen! Wrong choices are commonplace, and God still loves you and you can be restored. The road to Redemption is not paved over pain and we need not pretend things are better than they are. We're believers not Make believers and you can't heal what you can't feel". Join Bryan on the road for 30 minutes and get back on track. Flame FM is grateful to Bryan for letting us air his shows, details are on www.bryand.com

Time for a change - Norman
Flame Manager "Stormin' Norm" takes the morning spot, leading from the broadcasting seat, and adding his own "honest and straight" Christian experience aided and abetted by short speech thoughts from Audiopot, Lifelines, GNBA (and anything else he can find for you) plus a daily devotional from Living Light.

Bible Teaching - GBS Radio
GBS Radio (Gospel Broadcasting System Ltd) in Birkenhead has produced Bible teaching and evangelical radio programmes for Africa, India and elsewhere - and Flame FM is grateful for the opportunity of broadcasting their teaching series on Wirral. GBS details are on www.gbsradio.org.uk or talk to them on 0151 639 2450

Good Morning - Andy Eades
At least three mornings each week Andy brings his own unique style of thought and challenge, mixed with music that Andy likes. We want more, Andy.

Light Lunch - Lins, Chris, Dave and Ruth
We want you to enjoy your lunch hour with Flame radio for company. Our live presenters bring music with a strong Christian flavour, plus something for you to think about. Guests pop in to add a local community focus and interest.

Afternoon Delight - Beryl, Chris, Fi, Susan and Ruth
Tradition says we have to give the ladies their own "hour" every weekday afternoon but our live presenters want to jog your traditional approach to life and give you something fresh and new to think about. Susan brings a"chinese" flavour to the mix.

The Chat Room
There are lots of local people who have good stories to tell and over the year many interesting people visit Wirral. So our studio "chat room" is often busy and from there we are pleased to bring you interesting interviews, with some great music.

Not the Kids Show - Pastor M C Ken
With up-tempo music, jokes plus "Adventures in Odyssey" stories (courtesy of Care for the Family).

Faces For Radio - John & Lee
John and Lee have an inimicable style, full of youthful enthusiasm and musical ability (at least that is what they tell us). Usual fun and games, including the infamous "one-minute challenge", "song from the vault", "wizewordz" and the "foe of the show" plus a lumpy mix of friendly banter and cracker music. Fun for all the family. Call 0151-643-1696 for a request, or e-mail them on studio@flameccr.org.uk  or leave a comment on www.myspace.com/flamefm. They play all the latest tunes from the UK and US Christian music scene.

Look back on Wirral
Flame FM has a long-term project, funded by the Local Heritage Initiative, committed to bringing you interesting and informative 15-minute programmes of local heritage information. Listen and enjoy them, but also get enthusiastic and come and help us add your own heritage and nostalgia to the Wirral airwaves. You can listen to these programmes on this web-site.

Music & Interest - Various
Flame FM leans into Radio 4 mode bringing you speech-based programmes on a variety of topics from our well-stocked cupboard, including Creation Research and local poetry.

Haynsies Friends - Mike Haynes
Mike introduces local people with a personal life story detailing a Christ-helped recovery. Some of these 30-minute programmes are on adult topics (drugs, prison, homelessness, etc).

End of a crazy day - Tom & Sheila, Lins, Beezer, Ruth, Pete
You may have something else to do of an evening, but let Flame FM's live presenter bring you a background of music of various sorts from folk & country, to rock, plus easy listening. We are always there for you. We warn you that Fridays are a tad noisy though.

SATURDAYS

Nice & Easy - Ken Madison
Ken loves his jazz vinyl and we have copied much of this into our computers enabling Ken to bring his relaxing and informative "nice & easy" programme to our Saturday morning.

Soul on Saturday - Paula
Paula, often accompanied by some of her friends, brings her breezy approach to Flame's Saturday mornings, with music from her own soul and Christian music collection.

Celtic Connections  - Frank
Frank has linked Flame up with the local Irish community and brings his Irish radio experience and interest in Celtic music to Flame's Saturday afternoons.

Artist Profiles
Flame FM is grateful to our UCB friends www.ucb.co.uk for allowing us to bring their 30-minute artist profile programmes where a Christian musician talks about their life and their music. We liked these programmes and thought that you would.

Who let him loose? - The Piranha Brothers!
Not for the faint hearted! When it comes to music shows, there are many guidelines to be followed, and some follow them with a religious fervour. But hey, we’re not religious at all! Hear the truth, know the truth, and know that Heaven’s calling!

Chinese - from the "Hallelujah" team. Our friends from the Liverpool Chinese Disciples Church bring an hour of Chinese culture and music, with English translation. The stories are fascinating and the music interestingly different

Sunday morning is a special time and Beryl focuses our minds upon the Lord who is to be worshipped and steers our direction with her own unique thoughts and perspective on the Christian life.

Psalmody John Ohlhausen

New Christian Music
Acts who record gospel music now have their own platform to get their music out to radio stations and key media people in Europe via the "New Christian Music" CD.  Paul Davis of New Music Enterprises is one of the most respected and experienced record producers, authors, broadcasters and journalists in this field and teams up with Country Hotdisc International's Stuart Cameron.
